How to Take Part in Telegram’s ICO

So, for those looking to take part, either as an early investor or as a Telegram user looking to make the future of TON, should look to purchase Telegram's new cryptocurrency, the Gram, through a private sale.
Telegram's ICO is unusual because of their high limit. Anyone looking to purchase the token must have the ability to invest at least twenty thousand dollars worth of cryptocurrency, using Bitcoin or Ethereum. On top of that, those looking to purchase more than one hundred thousand dollars worth of Gram will be subject to regulatory constraints by Telegram and may only be available to accredited investors, institutional investors, and token funds, which may mean that most who are interested in the TON project will not be able to buy more than a hundred thousand dollars worth. ## Private Sale Process
Telegram is using a private sale method for their ICO. Those who want to invest must sign up on a Telegram encrypted chat channel where Telegram will send out instructions for vetting. After vetting, those who have been selected to buy Gram will be given a private URL and password for the ICO page. All transactions must be made in Bitcoin or Ethereum, and there is no minimum limit.
After purchasing, investors are given a private key in a Telegram private chat. That key unlocks a future Telegram wallet app, which is under development, and will be used on the TON when it launches. Telegram has also released a white paper giving investors an idea of their development goals. ## Investing Directly
For those who cannot make the minimum investment, they have two options. While it hasn't officially been announced, Telegram users may be able to buy Gram as a registered user on the Telegram app directly, after the app launches. However, no one knows if or when that will happen, as the app's development is still underway.
For those who want to invest, their only option is to cash in to an existing investor. Several, mostly unregulated exchanges, are looking to get in on the ground floor and may offer to buy up investors' Gram at a later date. However, these operators are usually unregulated, and there is the possibility of the investor walking away empty-handed.
