This page explains what our pages store in your browser and which outside services they contact.

Our own cookies

Our web server sets two first-party cookies on every response. Both are marked Secure and HttpOnly, so scripts on the page cannot read them, and both are used only to count visits to this site:

• mz_vid — a random visitor number that lets us tell a returning reader from a new one in our traffic statistics. It is kept for 365 days.
• mz_src — where your visit came from: the referring site, a campaign tag in the link, or «direct». It is kept for 30 days.

Your choice on the cookie notice is remembered in your browser's local storage under the key «bq-ck». The site has no accounts and no login.

Analytics

Pages load Google Tag Manager, which we use for visitor statistics. Google may set cookies for this purpose; how Google handles that data is described in Google's cookie policy.

Market data and fonts

Price, network and sentiment panels are refreshed by your browser directly from CoinGecko, mempool.space and alternative.me. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. These requests disclose your IP address to those services in the same way as any web request; we do not send them anything else.

Advertising

Banners on the site are plain images with a link, served from our own domain. If you click one, the advertiser's site may set its own cookies, under its own policy.

Managing cookies

All browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking them does not stop you reading any page here. More on how we treat personal data is in our privacy policy.
